Greyfriars Bobby was a Skye Terrier who guarded his masters grave for 14 years, only leaving for food.

Bobby was rewarded with a new collar which had a brass plate inscribed "Greyfriars Bobby - from the Lord Provost, 1867, licensed"

Bobby dies aged 16 years and won the hearts of the Edinburgh people.
