Ink Circles Gina Queen of the Seas Cross Stitch Pattern

Designer Tracy Horner of Ink Circles has created this Celtic Mermaid cross stitch design.

The inspiration for this design is The Maid of Meigle, a Pictish decoration discovered near Perthshire in Scotland. 

The Picts carved religious symbols on stones - many of them markers for warrior chieftains. Mystery still surrounds the meaning of the Maid of Meigle but she is thought to be a Celtic Goddess in Celtic Mythology.
